Motion vs Reclaim
Two AI calendars that plan your week. One replaces your task manager; the other works with it.
Motion and Reclaim both put your tasks on your calendar for you and re-plan when meetings move. They differ in how much they want to own. Motion is an all-in-one AI work suite: tasks, projects, docs and calendar in one app, billed with AI credits per seat. Reclaim is a calendar layer that works alongside the task manager you already use, pulling tasks from Todoist, Asana, ClickUp, Jira or Linear, protecting focus time and fitting habits around your meetings, with a free plan to start.
Weighted scorecard
Each product gets a score from 0 to 5 on eight criteria, with a one-line reason. The weights say how much each criterion counts, and the total is the weighted average, out of 5.
The default weights reflect a buyer handing work to AI agents, the person Done is built for, so they favour Done. Pick another buyer and the weights change: for a team running sprints, or for a personal list without AI, other apps often come out ahead.

For someone who delegates tasks to Claude, ChatGPT or other agents and wants to approve what comes back.
Scores are our judgment from each vendor's public docs and pricing, checked on the date at the foot of this page. Anything a vendor doesn't document scores 0.
Choose Motion if…
- You want one app for tasks, projects, docs and your calendar
- You want an AI project manager to draft projects from a description
- You're happy to buy the AI from the same vendor as the scheduler
Choose Reclaim if…
- You want to keep the task manager you already use
- Habits, focus time and meeting buffers matter as much as tasks
- You want to start free and pay per seat from $10 a month
The verdict
Pick Motion if you want one vendor to run your tasks, projects and calendar, and you'll use its project features. Pick Reclaim if you already like your task manager and mainly need your calendar defended: focus time, habits and smart meetings, with a free plan and a lower price. Reclaim also runs an official MCP connector for Claude; Motion has community servers only.
Where Done fits
Neither Motion nor Reclaim does the task for you; they schedule when you will. Done is the other half: hand a task to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP agent, and its result waits for your approval. Done's Plan my day also fits your open tasks around your calendar, so for some people it covers both.
