Run tasks on Nightjar
Connect your own Nightjar account so Run now sends a task to a background agent in the cloud — your computer doesn't need to be on.
Nightjar runs an agent on its own dedicated computer in the cloud. Once it's connected, Run now on any task sends that task there, and the answer comes back as a comment on the task. Runs use the Claude or Codex account connected to your own Nightjar workspace.
Connect Nightjar
- Open Account & settings → Integrations & agents and find Where tasks run.
- Click Connect Nightjar.
- On Nightjar's screen, pick the workspace runs should use and approve.
- You're sent back to Done and the card says Connected. That's it — Run now sends tasks to Nightjar from here on.
Rather not use a one-click connection? Use an API key instead opens the manual setup: paste a key from Nightjar → Developers → API keys, add the Webhook URL Done shows you under Nightjar → Developers → Webhooks, then paste back the signing secret Nightjar shows once.
Optional settings
- Connection IDs — comma-separated IDs from Nightjar's Developers page for tools the run may use. Leaving it empty gives the run no tools, which is the safest place to start.
- Timeout (seconds) — 30 to 86,400. Empty means Nightjar's default of 30 minutes.
- Send triggers to Nightjar — untick it to stop sending runs without disconnecting. Disconnect removes Done's access entirely.
Run a task
Open any task and press Run now in its footer. You'll see "Sent to Nightjar — its answer will appear here as a comment." When the run finishes (or fails), its result is posted to the task's activity.
What a run can and can't do
- It gets the task's title, notes and your instruction — trimmed if they're very long.
- It can't see or change your board. It can't complete, edit or comment on anything itself; nothing is marked done until you say so.
- Each account can send up to 30 runs an hour.
