The basics

Your first five minutes in Done

Capture a task, give it a date and a project in one line, and find your way around the views.

Done is a to-do list that an AI agent can also work from. Start by using it as a plain list — the agent parts are there when you want them.

Add a task

  1. Press N anywhere in the app (or click New task) to open quick add.
  2. Type the task the way you'd say it, for example: Send the invoice to Sam friday at 3pm p1 ~30m
  3. Press Enter. Done pulls the date, time, priority and estimate out of the text and keeps the rest as the title.

What quick add understands

  • Dates: today, tomorrow, friday, next fri, in 3 days, in 2 weeks, or 2026-10-01. Write "by friday" for a hard deadline, "on friday" for a softer plan.
  • Times: at 3pm, 9:30am, at 17:30.
  • Priority: p1 (urgent), p2 (medium), p3 or p4 (low). Words like urgent, asap or someday work too.
  • Estimates: ~30m, 2h, 1d.
  • #project files the task into an existing project, and @tag adds an existing tag. A name that doesn't match stays in the title — neither creates anything new.
  • @agent or @claude hands the task to an AI agent (see the approvals guide).

Find your way around

  • Today — what's due or planned for today.
  • All tasks — everything open. The View menu switches the layout between List, Board and Tree.
  • Plan my day — a time-blocked day, with a focus mode that records the time you actually spent.
  • Calendar — your working week, blocked out the same way.
  • Control Room — where agent work and anything waiting on you shows up.
  • Trash — deleted tasks stay here for 30 days, so a mistake is always undoable.
