Daily planner template

A printable daily planner template: your top three, an hour-by-hour schedule, the rest of the list and a two-minute end-of-day check. Fill it in here or print it.

A daily planner is a to-do list that has met your calendar. Picking three things is the easy part; the schedule is where you find out whether they actually fit around the day's meetings.

Fill in the hours you've already promised, block time for your top three, and use the end-of-day check to set up the next day before you close the laptop.

How to use this template

  1. Write the date and your three most important tasks.
  2. Fill in the schedule: meetings first, then a block for each of your top three.
  3. Put everything else under Also on the list — those happen only if there's time.
  4. Before you stop, run the end-of-day check.

Hand it to your agent

Connect Done to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client (it takes a minute), then paste this prompt. Your agent works through Done's own tools, under the same approval gate as everything else.

Work only through the Done MCP connector, on my Done account.

Each morning:
1. Call get_digest to see what's overdue, due today, and stalled, and list_open_decisions for any question an agent has parked for me.
2. Put the open questions at the top — each one is a task an agent has stopped on, and answering is usually a one-minute unblock. Give me the agent's recommendation with each.
3. Then propose a realistic plan for today: the 3–5 tasks worth doing, hardest/most time-sensitive first, and say why each made the cut.
4. Flag anything overdue that should be rescheduled or dropped, and anything I'm waiting on that's gone quiet.
5. Post the plan as a comment on the most important task with comment_on_task so it's waiting for me. Don't start the work, change statuses, or answer the questions for me.

Keep it short — a plan I can act on in two minutes.
