Run the company. Hand the busywork to your AI.
Done is a to-do list you share with Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP agent. You assign the research, drafts and admin, the agent does it and reports back, and nothing counts as done until you approve it.
Done is an AI to-do app for solo founders who already pay for an AI assistant and want to hand it real work without losing track of what was handed off. One list holds the tasks you do yourself and the tasks you've assigned to an agent, and every task shows who has it right now: you, an agent, or you again for review.
The jobs, and how Done handles them
Get everything out of your head and into one list
Quick add reads dates, priorities, #project and @tag from one line, so "Send investor update friday p1 #Fundraise" lands dated, urgent and filed. You can also capture by forwarding an email to your own capture address, from the iPhone or Android share sheet, with Siri, or by talking through a brain dump that Done splits into tasks. Projects nest, so Product, Sales and Admin can each hold their own sub-projects.
Hand off research, drafts and admin
Set a task's Doer to an AI agent, or type @claude when you add it. Your connected assistant picks it up over MCP with
next_task, proposes a plan when the task needs one, and posts its result in the task's thread. Connect Drive, Gmail, Notion, Slack, Linear or GitHub and the agent reads the real spec instead of the summary you would otherwise paste in.Stay the one who decides
By default an agent can only propose that a task is finished (
propose_completion). The task waits in Needs you until you approve it or send it back with a note. When an agent reaches something it shouldn't decide alone, such as spending money or emailing a customer, it parks a question withask_decision, recommendation attached, and moves on to other work.Know what matters today
Plan my day packs your open tasks into time blocks around your Google Calendar meetings and can write focus blocks back to the calendar. The Briefing puts what your agents did since you last looked, what's waiting on you and today's priorities on one page, and your assistant can read the same plan with
get_todays_plan.
A week with Done
Monday
You empty your head into quick add: the investor update, prep for three customer calls, a pricing-page rewrite and some competitor research. You assign the research and the first draft of the pricing copy to Claude.
Tuesday
Claude has posted a competitor summary in the research task and parked one question: should the pricing draft lead with the annual price? You pick its recommendation in one click.
Wednesday
The pricing draft is waiting in Needs you. You send it back with one note, "shorter, no jargon", and approve the second version that afternoon.
Thursday
Plan my day fits your three calls around their prep. Claude drafts a follow-up email into each call's task, and you send them yourself.
Friday
The weekly review shows what shipped, what stalled and what's overdue. You move two tasks to next week and assign the investor-update draft to Claude for Monday.
Which plan fits
Pro · $5 a month
Start on Free: every core feature, 100 agent calls a month and two workspaces, say the company and your personal life. One delegated task usually takes several calls (reading the queue, claiming, commenting, proposing completion), so if you hand work off most days you'll outgrow 100. Pro is $5 a month for unlimited agent calls, unlimited workspaces and scheduled routines, such as a task Claude picks up every weekday at 9:00. You don't need Teams until someone else needs to see the board.
Compare plans →When Done isn't the right fit
If you don't use an AI assistant and don't plan to, Done's agent features are weight you'd carry for nothing: a plain to-do app such as Todoist or Things 3 is simpler. And if your one-person company is really a product team shipping code in sprints with contractors, an issue tracker such as Linear fits that work better.
Questions
Is Done a good task manager for solo founders?
Yes. Solo founders and owner-operators are who Done is built for first: people who already pay for Claude or ChatGPT and want to delegate real work to it. Done gives you one list for your own tasks and your agents' tasks, with an approval step before agent work counts as done.
Does Done include the AI, or do I bring my own?
You bring your own. Done doesn't run a model on its servers. You connect the assistant you already use, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, to your account's own MCP endpoint at https://trydone.app/mcp, with OAuth or a per-account token.
How much does Done cost for one person?
Free is $0 with every core feature, 100 agent calls a month and two workspaces. Pro is $5 a month for unlimited agent calls, unlimited workspaces and scheduled routines. You don't need a credit card to start.
Can I bring my tasks over from Todoist or Notion?
Yes. Done imports CSV exports from Todoist, TickTick, Asana, Notion and Trello, and the import page shows you the result in your browser before you sign up.
