TickTick MCP server
Yes. TickTick runs its own MCP server at mcp.ticktick.com. It signs in with OAuth (or an API token if you prefer), and TickTick's help center has setup steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and Claude Code.
https://mcp.ticktick.comHow to connect it
- Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add, search for TickTick, and sign in.
- ChatGPT: open Plugins in the sidebar, find TickTick, install it and sign in.
- Claude Code: run the command below, then /mcp to finish signing in.
- Prefer a token? Create one in the TickTick web app under Settings → Account & Security → API Token and send it as a Bearer token.
claude mcp add --transport http ticktick https://mcp.ticktick.comWhat it can do
- Read, create, update, complete and move tasks
- Manage lists
- Work with habits, focus records and countdowns
What it doesn't do
- TickTick says the server covers basic operations for now and that other advanced features aren't supported yet.
- It speaks Streamable HTTP only, so a client that only supports SSE can't connect.
- There's no approval step: an agent that completes a task completes it.
- Its docs don't describe read-only or per-list access.
Staying on TickTick?
If TickTick's habits, focus timer and calendar are why you use it, its official server is the way to give an assistant your tasks: it's hosted by TickTick, so there's nothing to install.
When Done makes sense instead
Done is a to-do app built for handing work to an AI agent, with the parts an agent needs before you trust it with real tasks:
- An approval gate: by default an agent can propose that a task is finished, but only you can close it. Done enforces that, so it holds even if an agent tries to skip it.
- Questions instead of guesses: an agent parks a decision with its recommendation, and you answer in one click.
- Plans before work: an agent can propose a plan that waits for your yes before it starts.
- Lanes: name your agents and pin each task to one, so two agents don't pick up the same work.
- Scoped access: tokens that are read-only or limited to one project or workspace, and budgets an agent can't raise.
Moving takes one step
In TickTick, go to Settings → Account → Backup & import → Generate backup (CSV).
Done's import preview shows exactly what lands — projects, tasks, due dates, priorities — before you create an account, and nothing is uploaded.
